About Us

Industrial cooling across Mindanao since 2002

Two decades of plant floors, cold storage, and commercial systems — the equipment a business genuinely cannot trade without.

About Lance

The shop opened in May 2002 and has been running ever since. The work has taken the team across Mindanao rather than keeping it inside Iligan — industrial and commercial projects island-wide, with residential and smaller service calls around Iligan City and Lanao del Norte.

Authorised maintenance for Wilcon branches in Mindanao

Lance is one of the contractors appointed to keep the air conditioning and refrigeration running in Wilcon branches across Mindanao.

  • Industrial & Residential Work we take on

We have never said no to a job.

Whatever gets put in front of us, we take it on and see it through. Two decades of industrial work is what makes that possible — there is very little left in this trade we have not already met.

Our Services

Complete cooling care

Six services covering the whole life of a system — specifying it, fitting it, keeping it clean, and fixing it when it stops. Cooling only: we do not take heating work, because nobody in Iligan is asking for it.

Why Lance

The difference is
in the diagnosis

Anyone can bolt a unit to a wall. The value is in specifying the right system, finding the real fault, and being here next month when you need a follow-up.

  • Industrial capability, not just split units

Cold storage, chillers, and packaged systems are a different discipline from residential aircon. We do both, so you are not handing a commercial freezer to someone whose experience stops at a 1.5 HP wall unit.

  • Diagnosis before parts

Every job starts with finding the actual fault. You get told what failed and why, so the same problem does not come back in two months wearing a different symptom.

  • Written quote before work starts

You see the scope and the cost in writing before anyone opens a unit. No figure changes halfway through unless we find something and you approve it first.

  • Iligan base, Mindanao reach

The shop is on Bro. Raymund Jeffrey Road, so Iligan and Lanao del Norte get a same-week response and warranty follow-ups do not mean waiting on a crew from another province. Industrial and commercial projects are taken on across Mindanao.

  • Trusted with a national retailer’s branches

Lance is one of the authorised maintenance providers for Wilcon branches in Mindanao. Keeping a retail chain’s cooling running is contract work with real consequences for missing it, and it is held alongside the shop’s other commercial clients.

  • Trading since May 2002

Over two decades of it, most of that on industrial systems. Long enough that the awkward faults, the discontinued parts, and the installs someone else walked away from are familiar rather than novel.

  • Proper refrigerant handling

Recovery and recharging done to spec, with the right refrigerant for the system. Topping up a leaking system without fixing the leak is not a repair, and we will tell you so.

  • Aftercare that is actually offered

Every install closes with testing, turnover, and a maintenance schedule. You are told when the unit is next due for cleaning instead of finding out when it stops cooling.

How it works

From first call
to turnover

No surprises and no figure that moves halfway through. Every job runs the same six steps whether it is one bedroom unit or a cold storage build.

  1. Site Visit

We come and look. Room dimensions, sun exposure, ceiling height, existing wiring, and where the outdoor unit can realistically go — all of it changes the answer.

  2. Written Quote

A scoped quotation covering equipment, materials, and labour. You approve it before anything is ordered or opened.

  3. Schedule

We book a date that suits your operation. Commercial work can be scheduled outside trading hours so your business keeps running.

  4. Install or Repair

The work itself — piping, vacuuming, wiring, mounting, and charging done to spec rather than to whatever is fastest.

  5. Test & Turn Over

Temperature, pressure, and airflow checked and logged with you present. You see the readings, not just a thumbs up.

  6. Aftercare

Written care instructions and a service interval, plus an optional maintenance contract if you want us tracking it instead of you.

Before you buy

What size unit
do you need?

The most expensive mistake in residential aircon is buying the wrong horsepower. Too small and it runs flat out and never catches up. Too big and it short-cycles, never pulls the humidity out, and leaves the room cold but clammy.

Treat this as a starting point, not an answer. West-facing rooms, high ceilings, large windows, heavy occupancy, and kitchen equipment all push the requirement up. We confirm it on site before anything is ordered.

Questions

Straight answers

The things people actually ring up and ask, answered the way we would answer them on the phone.

How often should my aircon be cleaned?

For a home in Iligan, every three to four months. The coastal air here carries salt and the humidity keeps dust stuck to the coil, so units foul up faster than the once-a-year figure you see in manuals. Restaurants, groceries, and anywhere with grease or heavy foot traffic should be on a quarterly schedule at minimum.

My unit runs but the room is not getting cold. What is wrong?

Most often one of four things: a clogged filter or coil choking the airflow, low refrigerant from a leak, a failing capacitor stopping the compressor from starting, or a unit that was undersized for the room from day one. The first is something you can check yourself. The rest need a proper diagnosis — and a refrigerant top-up without finding the leak just buys you a few months.

Why is my split-type dripping water inside the room?

Almost always a blocked or badly sloped drain line. Dust and biofilm build up in the pipe, water backs up in the tray, and it spills into the room instead of running outside. It is a straightforward fix, but leaving it will stain ceilings and swell drywall, so it is worth calling early.

Inverter or non-inverter — which should I buy?

If the unit runs several hours a day, every day, inverter pays for itself in electricity and holds a steadier temperature. If it only runs occasionally, the higher purchase price and the more expensive control board are hard to justify. Tell us the room and the usage pattern and we will give you a straight answer rather than the one with the bigger margin.

What size unit do I need?

The table above is a reasonable starting point, but it is only that. A west-facing room takes the afternoon sun and needs more. High ceilings, a lot of glass, many people, or kitchen equipment all push it up. An oversized unit is not a safe bet either — it short-cycles, never dehumidifies properly, and leaves the room cold but clammy. We confirm on site.

Do you handle cold storage and commercial freezers?

Yes — that is a core part of the business, not a sideline. Cold storage rooms, blast freezers, display chillers, and ice machines. If you run a grocery, restaurant, or clinic and your equipment is critical to trading, ask about a maintenance contract as well as the repair.

R22, R410A, R32 — does the refrigerant matter?

Yes. They run at different pressures and are not interchangeable, and R22 is being phased out, so units still running it get progressively more expensive to service. We work with what your system takes and will tell you honestly when an old R22 unit has reached the point where replacing beats repairing.

Do you offer emergency or after-hours service?

Case to case. There is no standing after-hours guarantee, but urgent call-outs are considered — particularly for commercial clients with stock at risk. Ring the number on this page rather than messaging: a call gets an answer far faster than a Facebook message at 9 PM.
